Inle ,Pindaya, Shan State
In the morning, our car will pick you up at your hotel and drive to Yangon Airport for the morning flight to Heho. Upon arrival at Heho Airport, the local guide will wait and drive to Pindaya it will take about 1 hr 15 minutes and visit to Shwe U Min Cave, the natural sacred cave with over 8000 Buddha images. famous Pone Ta Loke Lake and walk along the lake , and observe traditional bamboo umbrella making. Then proceed to NyanungShwe (Inle Lake), and stay overnight at the hotel.
Morning transfer to the Jetty with the guide and take the private boat for visiting on Inle Lake. The tour start with 5 day market, ( the market may vary the village depending on their calendar.).Take a boat ride on the narrow canal and see Inndein Village visit Shwe Inndein Pagoda Compound with over 1000 pagodas and temples in Shan Style . Phaung Daw Oo pagoda, the most visited pagoda and famous for its festival in September-October. The villages and the lives of local people called Innthar. Seeing and understanding their works, products such as cheroot factory, Boat factory and silver smith in their villages. Also take a chance to see and understand the silk weaving factory together Lotus robe manufacturing in Innpawkhone Village. The villages with their floating gardens and cultivating tomatoes, gourd, pumpkin, chayote, cucumber, chili .etc. Have a look at the beautiful wooden monastery Ngaphechaung, ( it was famous for the jumping cats ) and inside are the collections of small and big Buddha statues and altars made of wood, marble and bamboo lacquered. In the evening drive back to Nyaung Shwe and go back to your hotel.
Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda Festival is the biggest annual event in Inle Lake, holiest religious site in the southern Shan State. The festival is annually held between September and October (during the Burmese month of Thadingyut), 18 days long festival, and the festival dates are calculated according to the Lunar Calendar of Myanmar. Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda represents the Five Buddha Images – Kakkusandra, Kaunagamana, Kasatpa, Gautama, and Arainmareya Buddha of this world. The original form of Buddha images cannot be seen as it is totally covered with gold and for now not allowed to offer gold leaf onto the Buddha images from 2019. During the festival, four of Buddha Images are taken throughout Inle Lake and one Buddha Image always remains at the temple. The four images reside at the main monastery in each village for the night, and the high point of the festival is when the Buddha images arrive at the main town of Nyaung Shwe where most pilgrims come and pay their respects and veneration. There are several of floating boats during the festival rowed by leg-rowers of Intha (who live in Inle Lake), and this festival includes fun fairs, dances, and leg-rowed boat races. You can consider your selves lucky as you have a change to participate one of the most famous festivals in Shan State, Myanmar.
Breakfast at hotel and check-out to proceed to Taunggyi, capital city of Shan State. On the way, a stop will be made at Ayethayar Wine Garden where you can enjoy fresh wine (own plan). Arrive Taunggyi and visit to local market (if time permit). Continue visit to Kakku Pagodas (over 7,000 pagodas), one of the most visited places in the Shan State, about 25km away from Taunggyi, near Mway Taw Village. Lunch at local restaurant and proceed to Sulamuni Pagoda at Taunggyi. Then continue to Mya Sein Taung Paya/ Shwe Phone Pwint Paya, situated on the top of the mountain and overlooking the beauty of Taunggyi City’s views from the top of it. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at hotel in Taunggyi.
